Park Advocacy Day

Since 2004, California State Parks Foundation has hosted Park Advocacy Day to demonstrate the political strength of the parks movement and build a strong community of advocates for park policies and legislation.

At Park Advocacy Day, we use our voices to send a powerful message to policymakers that California’s state parks are important places that need to be protected and that all Californians should have the opportunity to learn, visit and explore.

This year we feature our parks story about the importance of parks in our community, to our collective health, and preservation of natural and cultural resources. We will also advocate for park policies and resources that enhance the health and wellness of children, so that we will foster the next generation of empowered parks stewards who, in return, have the opportunity to experience the significant benefits of parks.
